The wine list among the 14 best in the world

Wine Atelier Šapat has received another prestigious recognition for its carefully selected wine list. In the category of Best Medium Size Wine List, with 200 to 600 labels, Šapat has reached the finals of the Star Wine List of the Year International Open 2025, among the top 14. It is now in the elite company of renowned restaurants from Australia, America, and only a few from across Europe.

At the online announcement on April 22, 2025, Šapat received a silver star, and the first place in this category was awarded to a restaurant from Australia.

The competition was organized by Star Wine List, an international guide for wine bars and restaurants, bringing together experts from around the world. The jury for the International Open 2025 included Nina Jensen, the second-best sommelier in the world in 2019 and 2023, Kathrine Larsen-Robert, Master Sommelier, Stefan Neumann, Master Sommelier, and Julie Dupouy-Young, four-time best sommelier of Ireland.

Star Wine List of the Year International Open is one of the most prestigious competitions of the year, and Wine Atelier Šapat has once again confirmed its quality and extensive selection of wines from all over the world. This success is attributed to the team of sommeliers at Šapat, led by Dušan Vranić, the general manager and director of the wine program.
