Šapat Wine Atelier at Food Vision at the Belgrade Fair

Šapat’s culinary team presented a menu inspired by local flavors

At the fifth international Wine Vision by Open Balkan fair, chefs from Šapat Wine Atelier took part in the Food Vision program, preparing dishes live for the audience from a menu inspired by local ingredients and the traditional flavors of the region.

The restaurant was represented by Head Chef Jagoda Knežević and Chefs de Partie Ivan Ivanović and Stefan Terek. For the occasion, the Šapat trio prepared a carefully curated menu featuring pumpkin amuse-bouches, followed by an appetizer of smoked trout tart, eggplant caviar, crème fraîche, and pickled spring onions. The main course was Danube pike-perch served skin-side crispy, while dessert featured a chocolate tart with chocolate in multiple textures.

All dinners held as part of Food Vision, during which participating restaurants showcased their culinary creations, were organized exclusively for charitable purposes. All proceeds from these dinners will be donated to secondary schools across Serbia to help improve training conditions for future generations of chefs. The donations will be used to equip culinary classrooms and training kitchens, providing students with better opportunities for hands-on learning and further development of their culinary skills.
